Portland Oregon Temple |Matthew + Skyler

Last Spring we had the joy of photographing a sweet couple, Matthew and Skyler, who traveled from Nevada to get married at the Portland Oregon Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While temple weddings themselves are sacred and private, many couples—like Matthew and Skyler—plan a portrait session right after their sealing. These wedding photos outside the temple offer a chance to celebrate, include friends and family, and document the joy of the day in a more relaxed setting.

The Portland Oregon Temple, located in Lake Oswego, is one of the most picturesque temples in the Pacific Northwest. The tall spires, white stone, and peaceful, tree-filled grounds create a serene and timeless backdrop for LDS wedding photography. As photographers, we love the combination of architecture and nature—it’s especially perfect for elegant couple portraits and joyful group photos.

Matthew and Skyler brought a small but energetic group of close friends and family who traveled with them to Oregon. Everyone was so kind and excited to be there. After the sealing, we stepped outside the temple for portraits in the afternoon light. The couple beamed with joy, and their guests were full of laughter, hugs, and celebration. We captured everything from traditional temple exit shots to playful moments between the couple and their guests.
